Bosley’s Place, the Georgia rescue, posted the story of the resilience and incredible spirit of a tiny little pup, Flipflop. Rejected by his momma at the newborn phase due to deformity, this tiny pup resembling a Teddy Bear fought his way toward recovery!
Then, came the biggest surprise of his life!
An Inspiring Journey
Flipflop didn’t have a sweet start in life. At only a few days of age, this tiny furrball found himself all alone when his momma rejected him. Due to his front leg deformity, he was on the verge of life, fighting for every breath.
Then, the miracle arrived!
The giant-hearted group of rescuers within Bosley’s Place in Georgia decided to intervene and turn this little boi’s life around for the better.
As soon as he was taken in, Flipflop started showing signs of progress. He latched onto the bottle in no time and started gaining weight with each and every new day.
“Other than the obvious deformity of his front left leg, he appears to be very healthy with a great appetite,” the Bosley’s Place team wrote on Facebook.
The good people of BP followed his progress around the clock. He already started interacting with other pups and making new friends at the rescue. It was Flipflop’s unbelievably charming personality that made him the center of attention in no time.
Together with other doggos, he played around and enjoyed every minute of his life as if his past never happened.
Still, one question was unresolved in his caregivers’ thoughts. Due to his deformed leg, they weren’t quite sure whether to subject him to amputation due to possible infection.
Then, as Flipflop grew older, the answer came!
According to the vet, this tiny boi (that happened to be a full-blooded toy Poodle) was good to go without surgery.
“He’s getting around just fine, it doesn’t bother him whatsoever and because he’s not a 60+ pound dog, he’s not dragging it and it is not at risk of infection so… He gets to keep the leg,” BP wrote on Facebook.
Flipflop In A New Home
As soon as he was cleared for adoption, wonderful news arrived at the rescue! Nikki and her family, who have always been the biggest dog lovers, decided to take Flipflop home.
The BP crew was extremely happy to see their tiny bud finally start a new chapter of his life. And, knowing that he’s going home with Nikki was just a relief to all!
This truly incredible family didn’t stop there! Aside from Flipflop (now Butters), they made room for two more special-needs dogs, Griff and Henry.
“He has an amazing family, truly incredible… Not only did they adopt Flipflop, now Butters but, they also adopted TWO of our other special-needs puppies, Griff and Henry, now Hank,” BP wrote in an update post.
Today, Butters couldn’t be happier in his new home with the siblings and hoomans he loves the most. After a rough start in life, he’s finally at the place that he deserves to be, making every day a brand-new adventure!
