Man Takes Paternity Test and Kicks Out Wife and Baby – She Denies Cheating, So He Takes the Test Again

A husband was forced to undergo a paternity test twice after the first revealed he was not the father of the child he was raising, while his wife insisted he was, putting their marriage at risk.

A husband took to Reddit to openly discuss a heated argument he had with his wife regarding their son, which posed a huge risk to their 10-year marriage.

The husband met his wife at university; They had known each other for 14 years and had been married for 10. He admitted that the last year had been difficult, but that they were slowly trying to rebuild their relationship.

But throughout those ups and downs, the man had only good things to say about his wife. “She is beautiful, understanding, kind, classy and overall a great wife,” he said.

After overcoming the bad streak, the woman discovered that she was pregnant, and the husband was very happy. But for some reason, she couldn’t shake the feeling that the child might not be hers, especially judging by the obstacles they had had to overcome in the past few months.

However, his wife clarified that she would only keep the baby if he was fully committed to their marriage, and the husband swore that was the case. Still, the nagging thought that he might not be the father plagued him throughout the pregnancy.

When the child was born, the man was so obsessed with the idea that he was not the father that he had trouble feeling happy or even holding the child. Much to his relief, he finally asked his wife for a paternity test.

What happened after you asked for a paternity test?

The wife was upset by her husband’s request, but told him to do it if it would make him feel better. So she did it, and two weeks later, the results confirmed her suspicions: he was not her father.

He felt overwhelming anger and stormed into the house, screaming, yelling, and asking how his wife could do that to him. But she didn’t react. She “The whole time she was sitting on the couch, trying to comfort the baby. This made me even angrier for some reason, so I kicked her out right there,” she confessed.

The next day, the wife called him and assured him that the baby was his. She asked him to take a second trial with another company, and he did because he thought he had nothing to lose. In fact, he thought a second test would help strengthen his case in the divorce.

The husband not only took one more test, but two, and both confirmed that he was the father. It was a great relief, but when he called his wife to tell her the good news, she told him that she was not going to live with him again.

The wife couldn’t get over how he had treated her, from asking for the paternity test to kicking her out of the house. She told him that her reaction to his false paternity test made her “disgusted,” so she was going to ask for a  divorce from her. However, she was willing to allow him to see her son.

Can the husband save his marriage?

The husband said he believed his reaction was valid, thinking about how shocked and angry he was by the false evidence, but even in his anger, he never laid a hand on his wife.

He understood that some of his actions were out of character, but he chalked them up to his emotions. He was also aware of why his wife was angry, especially knowing that he was her father, but he felt that she was not trying to understand his version of events from her.

I had intended to talk to her to see if there was any hope for their marriage, but in the meantime, Reddit commenters also had some things to say.

Many users felt that the husband was wrong, stating that his wife was right to divorce him because not only did he have trust issues at a time when their  relationship was vulnerable , but also when his wife was pregnant.

In addition, Reddit users considered it unforgivable that he kicked his newborn son and his wife out of the house they shared and that he lost his temper with his temper. In fact, people thought there was nothing to save in their marriage.
